From the Halls of Montezuma to the Shores of Tripoli

Today marks the official birthday of the Marine Corp.
Begun in 1921, 13th Commandant, Gen. John A. Lejeune, issued Marine Corps Order No. 47, Series 1921. This document summarizes the history, mission and traditions of the Marine Corps. It is read to all Marines annually, worldwide, on November 10th.
The Direct Group honors the brave men & women who proudly and bravely serve our country in the Marine Corps. We thank you.
